Plus-Sized Yoga Classes -- Seriously?! | momlogic.com

Ran across this blog post this morning. Interesting.

Plus-Sized Yoga Classes -- Seriously?! momlogic.com

As a plus-size yoga instructor I have considered how to make the environment more comfortable for all shapes and sizes. I hesitate to segregate people based on their size.

In my experience, people of all body types face challenges and limitations in certain poses/movements. This is based both on body type and experience level. It is the instructor's job to suggest modifications and corrections.

Yoga is for everyone who seeks it, regardless of size or weight.

Should there be plus-size yoga classes? I suppose if there are instructors who feel called to teach them and students who feel more comfortable in them, then yes.
